Overview

Rowan is a Female Miqote with a dark secret. She was born on another star, in Gridania to a
mall family. She grew up learning conjury and loving the wilds, often following in the guidings of
Menphina. She was a kind, smart young lady, with a brilliant smile, and a contagious laugh.
Always around, but never part of the world. She wasnt close with her birth family, often
wandering on her own looking for a place to fit in.
At a young age, she discovered her affinity with magics, quickly building her power and joining the conjurers guild before the normal age of admittance. She spent many years learning, growing and perfecting her magic, ultimately becoming a White mage by her 16th summer.
Though young, her duties allowed her to begin traveling, and thus she set out as an adventurer
and healer.
She never made many lasting friendships, often only sticking with parties for short times, a
single job or two. That was until she met Yamato Orochi. Yami was part of a crime family, and
had some dark dealings. He was hurt on one of his jobs, and Rowan found him and healed him
as best as she could. The two forged a bond like siblings, helping each other and trusting each
other fully. She never involved herself with his dark past, and he in turn protected her with his
skills and resources.
Their duo eventually grew, adding more new friends until Rowan founded a Free Company
known as Ebonsong. With her found family, she ventured out as a healer and protector, a leader
to the small group. Time passed, and she found love where shed least expected it, meeting a
young woman who saw adventurers as myth, legend.
The two grew close, quickly falling in love and were soon wed; the girl quickly becoming an
adventurer herself. Together they traveled and faced the world, a world that tried everything to
get them apart. Disease, injury, piracy and amnesia, all befalling the couple.
On her 25th summer, Rowan made a decision, in hopes to be with her lover for all of time, to
fight back against the world that wanted them apart. She met a man who represented a group
with access to dark, dangerous magics. A cult, of sorts. She wasnt aware of what she was
getting into, simply following her heart. What proceeded would change her life forever.
Rowan was brought in by the cult, and fed a bizarre dark liquid from a brass chalice. The liquid
burned her insides, but she dealt with the pain. The group left her on a stone dias, tied down
before a demonic statue while her insides burned. They returned, praising their lord, Diabolos,
before stabbing her repeatedly with ritual knives, each time piercing her heart until she no
longer felt the burning of her soul
Rowan gave away her mortality to be with the one she loved forever. The man was a worshiper
of Diabolos, and used dark magics he gained from his demonic god to transform Rowan from
woman into monster. Now a creature of the void, Rowan was corrupted, given the gift, and
curse of immortality. Her connection to Menphina was shattered, her soul damned. When she
returned to her lover, the woman looked at her with disgust, leaving the girl and cutting all ties to her.
In a fit of rage and sadness, Rowan threw herself from the highest cliffs she knew, in an attempt to end her life.
But end her life did not. After a strange sensation, she awoke in a place familiar, yet not. A
world similar to her own, yet one where she never existed, her lover had never existed her
family.. Never existed. Alone in this new world, Rowan was lost unsure of herself, of her new
form her new freedom.
This was the start of her new story. One where she made new friends, found love again, and
eventually, found a family. The new bonds she built could never replace the ones she had in her
previous life, but they grew to be stronger.
